Our First Real-World Contract on Amicus
Our First Real-World Contract on Amicus
This week, AmicusDocs crossed an important milestone: our first real-world contract has completed, end to end, on the platform.
In November, Samuel Bourque, Founder of AmicusDocs, and Edmund Gehringer of Ahead Group entered into a services contract using AmicusDocs. The agreement was a statement of work for technology services contract covering the month of November. From initial proposal through acceptance, performance, and completion, the contract lived entirely in AmicusDocs.
This was not a demo, a test script, or a staged scenario. It was a live commercial engagement, with real expectations on both sides and real work to deliver. The case was opened, the terms were agreed, and the work was tracked to completion within the same environment that AmicusDocs is being built to support for future customers.
For a young product, this first completed contract matters. It shows that the system can:
- support the formation of an agreement between independent parties,
- hold clear terms for a concrete scope of work, and
- stay aligned with the work as it is performed and brought to a close.
AmicusDocs is being built as a contract negotiation and management app: a place where parties can reach agreement, understand what they owe and what they are owed, and see the state of their commitments without digging through email threads or scattered documents. Each successful real-world contract is another step toward that goal.
Thank you to Edmund and Ahead Group for trusting AmicusDocs with a live engagement and for working with us as we refine the experience. Moments like this are how AmicusDocs grows from an idea into the kind of quiet infrastructure that supports everyday business.
