How to Use the Draft Assistant in Amicus

Intro

Amicus includes an integrated LLM draft assistant. It uses your template’s context—roles, title, and draft text—to offer perspectives and propose edits you can review and apply.

Setup

Prerequisite — You have a saved template.

Steps

1. Start a chat — Open the draft assistant and ask what may be missing, unclear, or risky.
2. Review proposed edits — When the assistant proposes an edit, a PROPOSED EDIT button appears below the title and above the draft text.
3. Inspect the patch — Click PROPOSED EDIT to see the patch and the changes.
4. Apply or ignore — If the patch meets your expectations, click Apply; otherwise, leave it.
5. Save your template — Click Save changes to keep accepted edits.
